Oakcrest School – 850 Balls Hill Rd. McLean, VA

In “Gypsy”, the McLean Orchestra will perform the Concert Romanesc of Gyorgy Ligeti, inspired by age-old Romanian Folk music. Following the Ligeti, National Symphony Orchestra Concertmaster Nurit Bar-Josef and NSO cellist James Lee come together for the tour-de-force that is Brahms’ Concerto for Violin and Cello. The second half of this concert features the dance-inspired Symphony No. 7 of Ludwig van Beethoven, a work that he himself considered to be one of his finest. As always we offer free parking and our popular post-concert cake and champagne reception, open to all.
